Example 2: Lottery
A lottery company was interested in the expected frequency of extreme payouts given that jackpots from Saturday are passed over to the Wednesday lottery. Thereto we developed a model for the playing activity including influencing variables like seasonal trends or up-heating by high jackpots. Computer simulations executed with this model could answer the questions of the customer.
